Construction Design and Management

Constructright is a new company which has been formed to provide clients with a full range of construction management services for all types and sizes of projects. As well as providing all aspects of Project Management from concept through design and implementation, Constructright can provide client advice and guidance to ensure full compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 and all other legislation.

The CDM Regulations place specific responsibilities on all duty holders, clients, designers and contractors and it is important that proper advice is sought to enable these responsibilities to be fully discharged. In the case of non domestic works which are notifiable to the Health and Safety Executive (over 30 days or 500 man hours duration) the appointment of a CDM Co-ordinator is a legal requirement before the project moves beyond initial design. We also offer a wide range of back up Health and Safety services which will help your project move safely and efficiently towards completion.

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 place distinct duties on clients for all construction projects. For projects that are notifiable clients must employ the services of a competant CDM Co-ordinator as early as possible.

Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH)
The CSH is an environmental assessment method for rating and certifying the performance of new homes. Without an assessment new dwellings should not be occupied or sold.

Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) Regulations 2008
In England for all construction projects with an estimated build value of £300,000 or more it is mandatory under these regulations to have in place and implement a Site Waste Management Plan throughout all stages from concept to completion. Non compliance can result in substantial fines being levied.
